David Small gives presentations and illustrated lectures to children of all ages in public and private schools, libraries, colleges and universities. He has given walking tours of his touring exhibit: A David Small World, which is organized by the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature and has been shown at venues throughout the United States since 2001. David and his wife, the author Sarah Stewart, often appear together to talk about the important role literature and art have in the lives of children.
